Walkers

Walkers, a photo-essay from Road No. 5, Bandra.

In the stillness, they pass. The street is empty once more.

Living at my window for the first sixty days of the lockdown I observed a trail of walkers, vicariously living lives, shut away in mine.

The sun would set and out they came, walking the road, looping back a few times before they disappeared into the darkness. The shutter slowed down to reflect the mind, an impression of time smudged into memory.

“They both listened silently to the water, which to them was not just water,
but the voice of life, the voice of Being, the voice of perpetual Becoming.”
